The Raven, Wow! I have so much to say. I have not read a Jonathan Janz book yet that I haven't enjoyed, but I this is my favorite so far, I loved everything about it. Set in a post-apocalyptic world where Dez is a survivor of a man-made Bio attack known as the Four Winds. Jonathan Janz is one of those authors writing bestsellers that cover a lot of ground. Supernatural, paranormal, creature-features, noir, gothic, you name it and Janz has tried it; successfully. The Raven is a melting pot of several favorite sub-genres and tropes resulting in the best possible mash-up a horror fan could even imagine. Janz's newest novel, The Raven, published today, is a dystopian slipstream, melding the genres of horror, action and thriller into a riotous and wildly-entertaining amalgam of a story that feels both simultaneously trope and completely fresh. Perhaps the most interesting thing about horror is the vast variety in its sub-genres. So many tropes fit under the horror umbrella; I truly believe there’s something for everyone.
